Fibe TV app is so much better than Ignite TV app as someone who tried both. Just look at the App Store or Play Store reviews and you'll find out why. Most important part is there is an Apple TV version for Fibe TV and not Ignite TV which is disappointing because I prefer using my Apple TV device and remote instead of Bell or Rogers.

My mother-in-law has the traditional Bell TV box with PVR and I have the bell app on my apple TV. Bottom line, the old setup is not 3x better, but it IS 3x more expensive than the app. I never use the Fibe box, but it's plugged into a TV in the guest bedroom so I can get DVR on the Apple TV. I'm not sure I know if it's in 4k or 8k 'quality', but it's at least HD on the HD channels.

Same issue. received new receiver from BELL, but strangely , red X was still showing up. All 3 lights solid. Changed lan/internet cable, HDMI cable to no avail. Tried on another TV as well. It turns out that culprit was old power supply. Used new power supply that came with a replacement receiver and no issues anymore.

The Fibe TV Box (7802) is the worst Bell product I’ve used.
I recently upgraded to bell fibre internet (3.0) and the new cloud PVR box. The new Fibe TV box has to be the biggest piece of garbage product Bell has ever offered. Every single day I have issues.

Ignite vs Fibe TV : r/Rogers - Reddit
Decided to give Fibe TV and Internet (FTTH) a go while still keeping Rogers Ignite (1Gbps) active to compare services. Why is the “TV” quality on Bell so shit? I’m moving the HDMI cable from both boxes back and forth and the Bell box is noticeably worse (picture washed out and faded) than the ignite box.
